AngerUnderstanding the origin of anger is necessary for developing adaptive ways of coping with this tricky emotion. Often anger is the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface are many possible feelings and emotions such as fear, guilt, regret, insecurity, rejection, stress, and grief. The calm and rational part of yourself may be taken over by painful emotions which can lead to anger. Emotion identification and regulation are two of the goals when working through anger regulation.

Self-WorthSelf-worth can be defined as "the sense of one's own value as a person and the positive feelings about the Self". It is not dependent on what we achieve, what we look like, who we spend time with, what we say, what we buy, or our triumphs and failures. Self-worth is unconditional and non-judgmental. Developing a strong self-worth is accomplished by identifying strengths and core values, and by learning to treat ourselves in compassionate and loving ways.

The things I’ve learned about myself through continuing to see her have been so valuable in both my personal and professional life and I leave every session feeling supported." T.B.
